Nina
"Nina" our Polish Arabian Racing Bred Mare
and she's still as fast as lightning!
Nina was our first horse purchase in 1997.
We rode her and did play days with her and the kids some. But our horsemanship skills and Nina were not a fair match.
We would have otherwise sold her off for a more mild tempered horse, but after Don & I watched Black Beauty
together he couldn't even watch the movie past the scene where Ginger dies, and he certainly couldn't
bare Nina being sold to an unknown fate such as many horses find themselves in.
Eventually Willy wandered over to our house from a neighbors and made us his home. So they bonded and are best buds.
Nina turned 24 this year and is going quite strong. Don't let her age tell you she isn't fast.
She's faster than ever!
