Dream Big Sport Ponies Home
There's only one way to dream...and that's Dream Big
How the Dream came true...
My childhood dream was to have my own Pinto Pony! I remember my parents taking my sister and I to the park in Nuevo Laredo (Mexico) across the border from where we lived in Laredo to go ride ponies in the park. Every time we went I always requested "I want the pinto" I loved the loud color and splash of the painted ponies. The rides were some of the best times I can remember from childhood. I think I asked a half million times a year for a pony, but it never was something my parents wanted to take on in our seemingly busy lives.
Jump forward 30 years later....one day a man who trades horses buys a mobile home from my dad. The gentleman being the only prospect in several months is eager, but didn't have enough cash to complete the sale. So he offered additionally two horses, one of them being a Shetland or Class B Miniature stallion. My father agreed and asked me to pick up the horses. So I brought the Shetland / Mini Pony home and that's where my pony spark became reignited! I finally had my pony, 30 years later, but late is better than never.
I've actively been involved in the sport of dog shows for the last 20 years and have had a wonderful time breeding quality dogs and achieving many dreams and goals with our world renown Dagmar Great Danes. And I've had horses for the last 10 years (a Polish Arabian mare named "Nina" who is now 24, and our rescue Haflinger Gelding named "Willy" who is about 17). But the star of my barn is my Napoleon..
So the motto of this short biography is Dream...
Dream Big and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
